Day 1 – Welcome to Costa Rica Juan Santamaría International Airport → Manuel Antonio Meet your Jaguar Kayak Academy trip leader at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO). Once the group is together, we begin our journey to Costa Rica’s beautiful Central Pacific coast and Manuel Antonio. Check into the hotel, relax after your flight and enjoy your first tropical sunset. In the evening, we get together for a welcome dinner, trip orientation and an introduction to the week ahead. Our professional surf instructors introduce beginners to ocean safety, paddling, positioning, wave selection and standing on the board. Already know how to surf? Spend your session improving your skills and enjoying the waves. After the lesson, enjoy the afternoon at the beach, explore Manuel Antonio or simply relax. Highlights: Professional surf lesson Surfboard included Warm Pacific Ocean Beach time Free afternoon Day 3 – Savegre River Adventure Today we head into the mountains and rainforest for an unforgettable day on the Savegre River. Known for its beautiful scenery, clear tropical water, waterfalls and fun whitewater, the Savegre offers the perfect combination of adventure and nature. Guests can experience the river by whitewater rafting, while experienced kayakers may have kayaking options depending on skill level, river conditions and guide approval. Stop along the way to enjoy waterfalls and rainforest before finishing with a traditional Costa Rican lunch. Explore Manuel Antonio National Park, where tropical rainforest meets the Pacific Ocean. Walk through the forest looking for monkeys, sloths, tropical birds and other wildlife before reaching some of Costa Rica’s most beautiful beaches. After exploring the park, enjoy a relaxed afternoon swimming, walking along the beach or simply enjoying the Pura Vida lifestyle. The Naranjo River offers exciting tropical whitewater surrounded by dense rainforest and beautiful mountain scenery. Guests can enjoy a professionally guided rafting adventure through exciting Class III–IV rapids. Qualified whitewater kayakers may have the opportunity to paddle sections appropriate for their experience, depending on river levels and conditions. This is the day for adrenaline, teamwork and unforgettable whitewater. Sleep in, return to the beach, surf again, explore Quepos or simply enjoy the hotel and surrounding rainforest. In the afternoon, we head out onto the Pacific Ocean for a sunset catamaran experience. Sail along the coastline, swim and snorkel in tropical waters, enjoy the scenery and finish the day watching the sun disappear over the Pacific. Choose an optional adventure or simply enjoy one more day at the beach. Take one last look at the mountains, rainforest and Pacific landscape as an unforgettable week comes to an end. You arrived as visitors. You leave with memories, new friendships and a little more Pura Vida.
