Empowering Sarapiquí Youth Through Kayaking

Description: Rivers of Opportunity is Jaguar Kayak Academy’s community initiative, creating free kayaking and outdoor learning opportunities for children and young people in Sarapiquí. Through supervised paddling activities, water-safety education, environmental awareness and positive time outdoors, participants develop confidence, responsibility, teamwork and a stronger connection with nature. We believe local youth should have safe access to the rivers that surround their communities and the opportunities those rivers can inspire. Jaguar Kayak Academy provides instruction, equipment and a supportive environment where young people can learn, grow and imagine new possibilities. Every adventure booked with Jaguar Kayak Academy helps us continue this mission. Paddlers, families, volunteers and partners can also support the program by sharing equipment, knowledge, time or financial contributions.
