Ride the river together. Experience whitewater from inside the kayak.

You don't need to be a kayaker to experience whitewater like one. Experience Costa Rica whitewater in a completely different way. Ride in the front of a Jackson Dynamic Duo tandem whitewater kayak while Andrey Coto controls and guides the boat from behind. No previous kayaking experience is required. Instead of sitting inside a raft, you are directly connected to the river — feeling the current, waves, eddies and rapids from inside a real whitewater kayak. The experience is completely adapted to you. For first-time paddlers, we can choose a beautiful Class I–II section where you can learn basic strokes, experience moving water and enjoy the rainforest. For guests with previous whitewater experience, we can select more technical Class II–III sections, and experienced paddlers may have access to selected more advanced whitewater when river levels, ability and conditions are appropriate. Every trip is private and personalized. You paddle together with Andrey Coto — ACA Level 4 Whitewater Kayak Instructor and ACA Swiftwater Rescue Instructor with more than 20 years of international whitewater experience. This is not rafting. This is not a standard kayak lesson. This is whitewater from the front seat. Jackson itself describes the Dynamic Duo as a tandem whitewater kayak suitable for both beginners and seasoned paddlers, with stability and control specifically useful for introducing new people to whitewater.
Class I–IV options depending on paddler experience, water level, river conditions and instructor assessment. Experience Level: No experience required to advanced Year-round by advance reservation.
Beginner Experience Class I–II Perfect for someone who has never kayaked before but wants to experience real whitewater. Adventure Experience Class II–III For active guests or paddlers looking for more waves, stronger current and a more exciting river run. Advanced Option Selected more technical sections can be considered for experienced paddlers after an assessment and only when conditions are appropriate. I would not advertise “Class IV for beginners.” The strength of the product is that you can select the correct section for each guest. Even Jackson's own safety guidance stresses choosing water well within the experienced stern paddler's control when carrying a less-experienced passenger.
