Refine your technique. Read harder water. Paddle with precision.

A complete ACA whitewater kayaking course for paddlers ready to progress into more technical Class II–III rivers. Train with Andrey Coto, ACA Level 4 Whitewater Kayak Instructor and ACA Swiftwater Rescue Instructor, with more than 20 years of international experience as a kayaker, competitor, river explorer and instructor. This course combines technical paddling, river reading, safety, rescue awareness and real whitewater practice. The emphasis is on becoming a more efficient, independent and confident paddler—not simply following someone downstream. Throughout the course, participants work on boat control, advanced strokes, edging, bracing, ferries, eddy turns, peel outs, river reading, line selection, scouting, surfing, rolling, rescues and decision-making in progressively more challenging whitewater. The ACA Level 4 program is designed around whitewater environments up to Class II–III.
this is a skills course, not an ACA Instructor Certification Workshop. The course is designed to develop paddling ability and whitewater judgment in Class II–III environments. ACA instructor certification requires a separate Instructor Certification Workshop led through the appropriate ACA instructor-training pathway. River sections and exercises may change according to water levels, weather and participant ability. Recommended for paddlers who already have basic river-running skills and want to progress into more technical whitewater. Participants should be comfortable paddling moving water and performing basic maneuvers such as ferries and eddy turns. A reliable roll is strongly recommended.
